COURSE STRUCTURE

5 intensive academy days combining advanced theory, live demonstrations, and hands-on training on real models, supported by guided home study and portfolio development

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

The ProQual Level 5 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice is designed for practitioners progressing into advanced aesthetic treatments.

to enrol on this course, you should:

  • be at least 18 years old

  • have a good understanding of English (to complete theory and assessments)

  • hold a Level 4 qualification in aesthetics or equivalent (required)

  • have completed anatomy and physiology (Level 3 or higher)

  • have experience in skin treatments such as microneedling or chemical peels (recommended)

  • be willing to complete practical training, case studies, and portfolio work

 

This course is ideal for practitioners looking to advance their skills and work at a higher professional level in aesthetics.

BEFORE COURSE

Before attending the academy, learners are required to complete preparation tasks to ensure maximum focus on practical training.

You should:

  • complete pre-course reading and workbook preparation

  • review anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and infection control

  • read course guidance, entry requirements, and treatment timetable

  • refresh knowledge of microneedling and chemical peel theory

  • arrange suitable models in line with course requirements

 

This preparation allows you to fully focus on hands-on practice, live model work, and assessments during the academy days.

5-Day Teaching and Clinic Timeline

This course is delivered over 5 intensive academy days, combining advanced theory, demonstrations, and hands-on training with real models.

Day 1 – foundation, safety & consultation

You will build the clinical foundation required for advanced aesthetic practice.

AFTER THE COURSE

After the taught block, learners complete any healing reviews, treatment evaluations, workbook tasks and final portfolio evidence. Additional clinic appointments may be planned where needed to complete the full 12-model requirement to assessment standard.

Complete any remaining workbook questions, written assignments or oral questioning requested by the assessor.

 

Submit consultation records, treatment notes, photographs, evaluations and reflective accounts.

Attend any additional supervised clinic sessions required to complete the stated model numbers safely.

Organise the final portfolio for internal quality assurance and certification claim.
